SAN DIEGO, CA – A serious crash on I-15 near Carmel Mountain Ranch left one person dead and at least nine others injured on the morning of Sunday, August 3.
The accident happened just before 9:00 a.m. near Camino del Norte and involved four vehicles. According to authorities, three vehicles collided in the express lane, and seconds later, a fourth vehicle crashed into one of them.
The San Diego Fire Department confirmed the freeway was temporarily closed while emergency crews responded. While it hasn’t been confirmed whether the deceased is among the group of injured individuals, the California Highway Patrol continues to monitor the situation at local hospitals.
Traffic has since resumed, but the investigation into the cause of the crash on I-15 remains ongoing.
