$25,000 Reward Offered After Woman Struck at L.A. Street Takeover
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 21, 2024) — Los Angeles Police are seeking information regarding an incident at a street takeover in the Florence neighborhood that potentially resulted in a fatality.
A $25,000 reward has been announced for details that lead to the identification and arrest of those involved in the event, which occurred near Manchester Avenue and San Pedro Street last Sunday.
During the takeover, a woman was run over by an INFINITI G37 while taking a selfie amidst a crowd of spectators. Video footage from the scene shows the woman being struck and her head hitting the pavement, rendering her unconscious. She was quickly removed from the scene by bystanders, and her current condition remains unknown.
LAPD Det. Ryan Moreno highlighted the gravity of the situation in a press conference, quoted as saying: “We have intercepted some chatter indicating that the victim might be deceased. We urgently need to identify her and assess the severity of her injuries.”
The LA street takeover death case, described as a hit-and-run, occurred when the driver of the INFINITI fled the scene without reporting the collision. Authorities are now intensifying efforts to locate the driver and are appealing to the public for any information.
