Juvenile Driver Fatally Strikes Pedestrian in Gilroy [Santa Ana, CA]
GILROY, CA (May 21, 2024) — A 23-year-old Gilroy man was struck and killed by a juvenile driver early Sunday morning near St. Louise Regional Hospital, police reported.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on No Name Uno. Officers arrived to find the man lying in the street. Despite a nurse from the hospital providing immediate medical aid, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police, who indicated that drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the Gilroy pedestrian crash.
