USC basketball player Alijah Arenas, son of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized following a Tesla Cybertruck crash near Corbin Avenue.
The accident was reported around 4:56 a.m. when a vehicle had collided with a fire hydrant and a tree by the 7900 block.
DMV records indicated that his vehicle, a Tesla Cybertruck, belonged to Gilbert Arenas. 18-year-old Alijah Arenas was later found inside the truck by paramedics in critical condition.
The details of what led to the crash remain unknown. Authorities say that a nearby security camera documented the accident and showed footage of the Cybertruck striking the hydrant and tree before catching on fire.
