
A three-vehicle crash involving a UPS truck left one person dead Thursday evening along the southbound lanes of Highway 99 in Tulare County.
Per the local authorities, the incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. when the UPS truck reportedly veered left, striking both a sedan and an SUV before slamming into a concrete center divider. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the driver of the sedan suffered only minor injuries, while the SUV driver was not hurt. No other occupants or victims were reported in the incident.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash and has not ruled out the possibility of driving under the influence. Additional details are expected as the investigation continues.
