A passenger has been killed with three others injured in a car crash that took place on Grand Avenue south of Mission Bay Drive in Pacific Beach Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. near Grand Avenue and Mission Bay Drive. A 21-year-old man driving a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette southbound reportedly ran a red light while turning onto Grand Avenue and collided with a northbound 2018 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 32-year-old woman.
A passenger in the Corvette was pronounced dead at the scene. The Corvette’s driver sustained major injuries, while the Jeep’s driver and her passenger were also injured.
Authorities suspect the Corvette’s driver was under the influence at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
