A Fresno family lost their home Monday morning after a fire engulfed their mobile residence near Maple and Olive avenues.
The fire was reported around 7:30 a.m. at the mobile home park. Victor Solorzano, the homeowner, said he was able to get his wife, two children, and father-in-law out safely before flames consumed the structure. No injuries were reported.
The fire destroyed the roof, walls, and windows, leaving the residence uninhabitable. According to Solorzano, the blaze may have started near the home where squatters allegedly left belongings. Officials said the fire was ruled accidental but confirmed it originated in a pile of debris adjacent to the structure.
The family is now displaced and seeking help to rebuild. A GoFundMe page has been launched to support them during recovery. Authorities continue to investigate the exact cause of the fire.
