Jane’s Addiction lead singer Perry Farrell is facing a $10 million lawsuit filed by bandmates Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins over an onstage assault that occurred during a Boston concert on September 13, 2023.
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday, alleges Farrell punched and injured guitarist Navarro during the performance, prompting the cancellation of the band’s Imminent Redemption Tour and halting the release of their new album. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for the losses tied to the tour’s abrupt end and associated costs.
The complaint accuses Farrell of assault, battery, emotional distress, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract. The bandmates claim this incident followed a pattern of erratic behavior and mental health struggles on Farrell’s part.
Following the incident, Farrell issued a public apology to his bandmates, fans, family, and friends, expressing regret for his actions during the show.
