SACRAMENTO, CA – A Rancho Cordova crash claimed the life of a young man and left two others with serious injuries. The head-on collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of White Rock Road and Grant Line Road, according to Sacramento County authorities.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a northbound Hyundai and a southbound Subaru collided head-on for reasons still under investigation.
The 21-year-old Hyundai driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 12-year-old passenger from the Hyundai and the 24-year-old Subaru driver were transported to a local hospital with major injuries.
CHP has not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
