FRESNO COUNTY, California – A tragic Fresno County crash early Wednesday morning left one person dead and two injured on Auberry Road, near Beal Fire Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. when three people in their 20s were speeding in a Toyota, lost control on a curve, and slammed into a tree. The impact brought the tree down, blocking the roadway.
The driver called 911 and, along with one passenger, was rushed to the hospital. The third occupant died at the scene. County crews are currently working to remove the tree and reopen Auberry Road.
