APPLE VALLEY, CA (October 25, 2024) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision with a pickup truck on Thursday morning in Apple Valley, California, prompting an emergency airlift to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The incident occurred at approximately 8:46 a.m. at the intersection of Apple Valley Road and Catalina Road.
Authorities reported that the accident involved a gold Toyota Tacoma and a blue and white Ducati motorcycle. Following the crash, the motorcyclist was urgently transported to a nearby medical facility before being airlifted due to the severity of the injuries.
The driver and a passenger of the pickup were unharmed. During the cleanup, Southern California Edison personnel attended to a damaged light fixture, which had fallen onto the roadway as a result of the Apple Valley motorcycle crash.
Traffic on Southbound Apple Valley Road was diverted at Sitting Bull Road while emergency crews cleared the accident scene. The condition of the motorcyclist has not yet been disclosed.
