Amtrak Train Hits, Kills Pedestrian Near Burbank Airport
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 19, 2024) —An Amtrak train struck and killed a pedestrian in North Hollywood on Saturday morning, according to officials. The incident occurred around 9:44 a.m. near 6900 Vineland Avenue, just outside Hollywood Burbank Airport.
The southbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Train #770 was involved in the collision. The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. The train, carrying about 150 passengers, remained at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.
