Car Crashes into Escondido Starbucks, Injures Four [San Diego, CA]
ESCONDIDO, CA (June 17, 2024) — A red Hyundai Sonata crashed into the front of a Starbucks in Escondido on Saturday morning, injuring four people, police reported.
Around 11:25 a.m., officers responded to the scene where the vehicle had been parked before driving through the store’s entrance. The crash caused injuries to four customers inside the store. Two elderly individuals sustained more severe injuries and were hospitalized for further treatment. The other two customers experienced less severe injuries, receiving treatment on-site before being released.
While the injuries are expected to be non-life-threatening, the full extent of the Escondido Starbucks crash remains uncertain as of this writing. The driver of the car was not injured. Police are investigating the crash as an accident and have ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors.
