Driver at Large in Fatal Crenshaw Hit-and-Run [Crenshaw, CA]

CRENSHAW, CA (March 2, 2024) — A tragic event unfolded in the Hyde Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles, where a pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver. 

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the incident occurred on Crenshaw Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night. Despite emergency services’ efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, her identity yet to be disclosed.

Authorities are on the lookout for a tan-colored sedan, last seen heading south on Crenshaw Boulevard, then making a getaway onto Vernon Avenue followed by Victoria Avenue. The search for the driver who fled the scene is ongoing, with the LAPD urging anyone with information about the collision to come forward.
