DUI Crash Claims Life of Motorcyclist in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (April 8, 2024) — A tragic collision on Euclid Avenue near State Route 94 in San Diego’s Ridgeview/Webster neighborhood resulted in the death of a motorcyclist Saturday night.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. when a 58-year-old man driving a 2000 GMC Sierra truck allegedly made a left turn onto Lyons Street, cutting across the southbound path of the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man riding a 2021 Harley Davidson, was critically injured and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. His identity has yet to be released. San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating the crash, with initial reports suggesting that the truck driver may have been under the influence at the time of the accident.
