Fatal Five-Car Pileup Halts Traffic on Ramona Expressway
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 5, 2024) — A multi-vehicle collision resulted in one fatality and left four others injured early Thursday morning on the Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto. The incident, involving five cars, occurred around 7:40 a.m. near the intersection with San Jacinto Avenue.
Emergency services pronounced one victim dead at the scene. Among the survivors, two sustained serious injuries while two others had minor injuries. Three individuals were assessed on-site and declined further medical assistance. Rescue operations required the extrication of two victims from the wreckage.
Authorities have temporarily closed the stretch of Ramona Expressway between Eagle Road and San Jacinto Avenue to facilitate a thorough investigation.
