Four Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Temecula

TEMECULA, CA (July 21, 2024) — A violent four-car collision on Interstate 15 in Temecula left four people hospitalized on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly after 1:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes near the Rancho California Road exit, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision involved two SUVs and two sedans, with one SUV overturning due to the impact.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene within 10 minutes and triaged the victims. The driver of the overturned SUV sustained life-threatening injuries, while the occupants of the other three vehicles suffered minor to moderate injuries. All four individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and their current conditions are unknown.
A SigAlert was issued, resulting in the closure of the on-ramp and a portion of I-15 while authorities conducted their investigation. All lanes have since reopened. The cause of the crash in Temecula is still under investigation.
