Girl Killed, Woman Injured in Pomona Pedestrian Crash [Pomona, CA]

POMONA, CA (May 29, 2024) — A young girl is dead and a woman injured after they were struck by a driver in Pomona on Tuesday night.
The accident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Towne and Lexington Avenues, according to the Pomona Police Department. Responding officers found the two pedestrians lying in the roadway with severe injuries.
An adult woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, but first responders were unable to save the child. The girl’s identity and exact age have not been released.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No arrests have been made, and the cause of the Pomona pedestrian crash is still unknown.
