Major Crash on SR-60 in Riverside County Leaves 4 Injured [Riverside, CA]

RIVERSIDE, CA (May 24, 2024) — At least four vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday morning on eastbound State Route 60, just east of Valley Way, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Four individuals sustained moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital. As of 9 a.m., a SigAlert remained in effect, with the HOV and #1 lanes closed. One vehicle was overturned, and tow trucks were on the scene to remove the disabled cars.
The Riverside multi-vehicle crash, which occurred shortly before 8 a.m., led to multiple lane closures as CHP investigated the incident. Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported that one person required extrication.
