Malibu Car Accident on Pacific Coast Highway Leads to Road Closure
MALIBU, CA (February 14, 2024) — A severe Malibu car accident involving two vehicles led to the closure of a significant section of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Tuesday afternoon.
The collision, which occurred in the 34300 block of the highway around 1:20 p.m., resulted in both cars being rendered inoperable, with one, a white Range Rover, being completely burned.
SKYCal’s aerial footage captured the aftermath, showing the charred remains of the Range Rover and another badly damaged vehicle, both with their hoods open and engines destroyed. Debris from the crash was scattered across the roadway, contributing to the closure of all lanes.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that upon their arrival shortly after 12:10 p.m., at least one vehicle was ablaze. One individual was airlifted to the hospital, though their condition remains undisclosed.
