Megan Thee Stallion Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Hostile Work Environment
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 24, 2024) — Megan Thee Stallion is being sued by former photographer Emilio Garcia, who claims he was subjected to a hostile work environment and improper treatment while working for the hip-hop star.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, details an incident in 2022 in Ibiza, Spain, where Garcia alleges he was forced to witness Megan engaging in sexual acts in a moving vehicle and was unable to leave.
According to Garcia, the following day, Megan ordered him not to discuss the incident and verbally abused him, including making derogatory comments about his weight. He also claims he was misclassified as an independent contractor, despite being treated as an exclusive employee, leading to his dismissal after raising these concerns.
Garcia is seeking unspecified financial damages for emotional and physical distress experienced during his employment. The defendants in the case include Megan, legally known as Megan Pete; her companies Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment and Hot Girl Touring; and her label, Roc Nation.
The Megan Thee Stallion discrimination lawsuit emerges amidst the artist’s recovery from a highly publicized trial involving rapper Tory Lanez, where she was the victim of a shooting incident.
