Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Southbound I-15 Near Oak Hill Road

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 19, 2024) — A multi-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle caused major delays on the southbound I-15 freeway near Oak Hill Road on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 7:46 a.m. in heavy fog, severely reducing visibility and complicating rescue efforts.
Several vehicles, including a black Kia Soul and a Toyota Tacoma with a trailer, were involved in the Oak Hill road motorcycle crash. The motorcycle rider sustained major injuries and was quickly assisted by emergency responders who navigated through the heavy traffic.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) implemented round-robin traffic control to manage the flow of vehicles and prevent further accidents. Multiple tow trucks were dispatched to clear the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The severity of the injuries has not been disclosed. The thick fog is suspected to have played a significant role in the accident, and the CHP is investigating the exact cause.
