MAITLAND, FLA – Marcus Jordan, 34, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested early Tuesday morning in Maitland, Florida, on charges including DUI, cocaine possession, property damage, and resisting arrest without violence.
According to the Maitland Police Department, officers found Jordan’s vehicle partially parked on railroad tracks after it had fled from a prior traffic stop initiated by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers detected alcohol on Jordan’s breath and observed signs of impairment, including slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. After refusing to exit the vehicle, Jordan was arrested following sobriety tests.
During a search, police found cocaine in his pants pocket. He was later released from the Orange County Jail after posting bond.
Jordan, who did not respond to reporters’ questions as he left in a Lamborghini, has a previous legal incident from 2012 involving disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in Nebraska.
Bodycam footage from the arrest shows Jordan and a passenger in the vehicle, with law enforcement noting that the car was parked near active train tracks as a train approached. It also shows Marcus name-dropping his dad.
The incident remains under investigation as Jordan faces charges related to impaired driving and drug possession.
