
Two women were fatally struck by a Metrolink train in Lake Balboa on Monday evening.
The incident occurred a little before 6:15 p.m. in the 17000 block of Roscoe Boulevard, where firefighters arrived on the scene and found both victims beyond medical help.
Authorities confirmed that the two women were pronounced dead at the scene.
It remains unclear whether any train passengers sustained injuries, and investigators have yet to determine why the victims were on the tracks.
