LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA – Four people, including two children, were seriously injured and hospitalized after a major crash involving a black pickup truck on the northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) freeway near Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic.
The collision happened shortly after 1 p.m., prompting a swift response from California Highway Patrol (CHP) units. Emergency responders arrived to find the pickup truck with significant damage.
Two adults and two children were transported by ambulance to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. Due to the severity of their injuries, two of the children were airlifted to a specialized hospital in Northridge for advanced medical care. The current condition of the injured remains unclear.
The cause of the crash on I-5 in Castaic remains under active investigation by CHP officials. Motorists experienced delays in the area as authorities worked to clear the accident scene.
