
Santa Ana, CA – A tragic accident shook Santa Ana on Monday night when a suspected high-speed driver caused a multi-vehicle collision that left two people dead and at least four others injured at the intersection of Main Street and Warner Avenue.
According to police reports, a driver speeding northbound on Main Street lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic, and caused a violent crash involving at least four vehicles. Surveillance footage shows a BMW driving in the wrong direction just seconds before the impact.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after 6:30 p.m., finding several people trapped in the wreckage. Four individuals were rushed to nearby hospitals, though their conditions have not yet been disclosed. Two victims, each in separate vehicles, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Among the wrecked vehicles were a Honda and a Toyota SUV, both sustaining severe damage. One car was reported to be completely unrecognizable due to the force of the collision.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the high-speed crash in Santa Ana and have not confirmed whether alcohol or drugs were involved. It also remains unclear if the speeding driver is among the deceased.
