GLENDALE, CA – Four alleged armed robbery suspects were injured — one critically — after a high-speed police chase in Glendale ended in a violent crash early Thursday morning.
The incident began around 1:00 a.m. when officers responded to an armed robbery at a vape shop near Glenoaks Boulevard and Highland Avenue. Authorities say four men dressed in black threatened a store employee at gunpoint and stole merchandise worth hundreds of dollars before fleeing in a stolen vehicle.
Shortly after, police located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver sped off, triggering a high-speed pursuit through local streets.
The chase came to a dramatic end on North Jackson Street near East Lexington Drive, where the suspects’ vehicle crashed into several parked cars. One of the occupants was ejected from the car and suffered critical injuries. The other three were also hurt and transported to local trauma centers. One suspect tried to flee on foot but was apprehended about a block away.
A firearm was recovered at the scene. The suspects’ identities have not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
