
MONTEREY, CA – On Monday morning, a serious crash on Holman Highway ended with a driver being arrested for DUI in Monterey, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities reported that shortly after 8:00 a.m., a Mercedes rear-ended a Ford Transit, causing the van to overturn and land on the shoulder. The Mercedes also overturned, coming to rest on its roof.
Debris from the vehicles, including a detached axle, was scattered across the roadway. Miraculously, no injuries were reported, and both drivers were traveling alone.
Westbound traffic was closed for several hours while crews cleared the scene and investigated the cause of the crash.
