SACRAMENTO, CA – A deadly Sacramento DUI crash claimed the lives of three young men and landed a driver behind bars. The collision happened in the early morning hours of August 2 near Roseville Road and Connie Drive, when a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Dodge Charger collided violently.
According to police, the Ford rolled over and the Dodge caught fire. An officer on patrol came across the burning vehicle with two victims dead inside, while a third victim—believed to have been ejected—was also pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford’s driver, identified as 27-year-old Christian Garcia, suffered injuries and showed clear signs of intoxication. He was transported to the hospital and, after partial recovery, was booked into Sacramento County Jail on August 7. Garcia faces charges of DUI resulting in great bodily injury and death.
The victims were identified as Mohammad Durrani (22), Omar Durrani (25), and Hashmatullah Durrani (24).
This crash adds to California’s alarming number of fatalities caused by driving under the influence—one of the leading causes of deadly accidents in the state.
