
TARZANA, LOS ANGELES – A man was arrested after ramming several Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) patrol cars and leading officers on a Tarzana police chase.
The incident began Tuesday morning when officers initiated a traffic stop at Western Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. According to LAPD, the suspect rammed into patrol vehicles, sparking a pursuit that continued onto the northbound 101 Freeway, before exiting at Tampa Avenue in Tarzana.
Authorities reported that the suspect abandoned his vehicle in a driveway and allegedly ran into a home near Hatteras Street and Calvin Avenue, prompting officers to surround the property with multiple LAPD units. The search later expanded to the wider neighborhood when police suspected he was not inside the residence.
The man, described as being in his 50s, was ultimately taken into custody around 6:30 a.m.
