ORANGE COUNTY, CA – A head-on crash in Santiago Canyon Road ended in tragedy Tuesday afternoon, leaving one driver dead and three others injured, including a child.
The collision happened shortly after 1:00 p.m. near Silverado Canyon. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), one driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the surviving victims were rushed to a nearby hospital. Their current conditions have not yet been released.
CHP investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. Early reports suggest that one of the vehicles may have lost control and veered into oncoming traffic, triggering the violent head-on collision.
