SAN DIEGO, CA – A 50-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Bay Park early Friday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened around 4:20 a.m. on the 3000 block of Morena Boulevard. Police said the victim was pushing a shopping cart in the northbound No. 2 lane when she was struck by a vehicle.
A passerby spotted the woman lying in the roadway and called 911. She suffered severe leg fractures and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
