
PALM SPRINGS, CA – A man from Menifee was killed after a fiery crash on I- 10, near the North Indian Canyon off-ramp, according to authorities.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 47-year-old Alvin Cunningham. The accident happened Monday around 1:45 p.m., when Cunningham’s truck veered off the roadway and slammed into a concrete wall divider.
The impact caused the vehicle to burst into flames. First responders arrived to find Cunningham unconscious inside the burning truck. He was pulled from the wreckage and rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he later died from his injuries.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is still investigating the cause of the crash. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.
