
WOODLAND, Calif. — A pedestrian died Monday night in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 16, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Woodland.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m., west of County Road 98. CHP reported that the pedestrian attempted to cross the road when they were struck by an eastbound Acura. The collision caused the Acura to swerve into the westbound lane, hitting a Nissan. The pedestrian died at the scene, while the drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were involved. The investigation is ongoing.
The Yolo County Coroner’s Office will release the pedestrian’s identity at a later time
