ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A man in his 60s died Tuesday after being struck while riding his bicycle across a crosswalk near the westbound Interstate 80 on-ramp from Riverside Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the cyclist was hit by a silver 2021 Toyota Camry driven by a 55-year-old man from Citrus Heights. Authorities are still investigating whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the bicycle accident on Riverside.
The I-80 westbound on-ramp remained closed for several hours as emergency crews responded to the scene. The Roseville Police Department initially reported the accident and assisted CHP in managing the incident.
