Bakersfield, CA – A man lost his life in a high-speed crash into a tree in Bakersfield on Hageman Road.
The Bakersfield Police Department reported that the accident occurred around 1:34 a.m. in the 11500 block of Hageman Road. Officers arriving at the scene found a blue GMC Acadia heavily damaged. The driver, who was partially ejected from the vehicle, died at the scene from the severity of his injuries.
Authorities stated that the vehicle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and collided with a tree. Investigators are currently looking into potential factors such as speeding, road conditions, or mechanical issues.
The case remains under investigation as police work to determine what caused the fatal crash in Bakersfield.
