OAKDALE, CA — A man died Saturday night in a multi-vehicle crash in Oakdale, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported.
The crash happened around 8:50 p.m. on Albers Road near Valk Road, about 4 miles south of Oakdale, involving three vehicles. According to CHP, a 1999 Chevrolet pickup traveling south made an unsafe left turn and collided with a northbound Volvo tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer then swerved and hit a Honda Accord following the Chevrolet.
The Chevrolet driver, a 31-year-old Oakdale man, suffered severe injuries and died at the scene. The other people involved were not injured.
CHP stated that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
