FRESNO, CA — A member of the California Army National Guard died Sunday morning in an off-duty accident on Tollhouse Road near Van Vleet in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Fresno accident occurred before 8 a.m. and was not discovered for at least an hour. The vehicle was found overturned at the bottom of a hill, with no evidence of another vehicle being involved.

In a statement, the California Military Department expressed their condolences:
“We can confirm that a member of the California National Guard, serving with Joint Task Force Rattlesnake, passed away following a non-duty-related incident. This loss deeply saddens us. Our thoughts are with his family, loved ones, and the Tollhouse team he leaves behind.”
