SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA — A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash on the 110 Freeway, near the West Florence Avenue exit. The collision led to a complete closure of the southbound lanes for several hours, causing major traffic delays.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:37 a.m., where they found the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim’s name, age, and gender have not yet been released.
The CHP issued a SigAlert shutting down all southbound lanes of the freeway for more than four hours. Two lanes were reopened around 5:40 a.m. as investigators continued working to determine the cause of the multi-vehicle crash.
