SAN JOSE, California — A serious San Jose car crash left three people injured Wednesday afternoon, two of them in critical condition.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rancho Drive and Monterey Road, a busy area in the southern part of the city. All three victims were taken to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.
As a result of the collision, Monterey Road remains closed in both directions between Capitol Expressway and Fehren Drive, and the closure is expected to last for several hours while authorities investigate the scene. Police have urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
At this time, no details have been released about the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved.
