WOODLAND, California — A Woodland car accident on Thursday morning left one person dead and three others seriously injured, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 17 and County Road 102. Authorities reported that a Toyota traveling east on County Road 17 failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Kia heading south on County Road 102.
The driver of the Kia died from the severity of their injuries, while two adult passengers were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The Toyota driver also suffered major injuries and was hospitalized for medical treatment.
CHP confirmed that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
