MODESTO, CA — Authorities are investigating a fatal Modesto pedestrian crash that occurred early Friday morning on Paradise Road near Leon Avenue.
The incident happened shortly after 12:25 a.m., when an eastbound sedan struck the victim. Despite the quick response from officers and medical personnel, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with investigators. According to Modesto Police, there are currently no signs that alcohol or drugs played a role in the driver’s actions.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until the family is notified.
