SAN BERNARDINO, CA — A pedestrian caused a dangerous situation on the morning of December 1, 2025, after running between traffic lanes on southbound Interstate 15 near the Glen Helen Parkway exit, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Around 7:00 a.m., multiple drivers reported an adult Hispanic male running into lanes and attempting to stop moving vehicles.
During the incident, the man was struck on the I-15 by a white Nissan Frontier in lane 2, leaving him lying on the roadway. About a minute after the impact, he managed to stand up, visibly injured, walking among traffic while raising one hand.
Amid the chaos, the pedestrian also threw a 2×4 toward the northbound lanes, hitting a passing Dodge Ram.
CHP officers were able to detain him and transport him to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation.
Authorities state that information is still limited and the case remains under investigation by the CHP Inland Office. More details will be released once the preliminary accident report becomes available.
