BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 18, 2024) – The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a fatal crash Saturday night that claimed the life of a 2-year-old child. Officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision at Brimhall and Jenkins roads around 8:39 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a red Honda and a red Chevrolet involved in the crash.
The 2-year-old passenger in the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene. Police confirmed that both drivers remained on-site and are cooperating with the investigation.
