A construction worker died after being reportedly run over by a construction truck at a work site on Avenue Penn, Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a call of a workplace accident at 12:08 p.m near the 29100 block in the Valencia Commerce Center. Newhall units and firefighters were later called to the scene.
The construction worker was initially reported to have fallen off the truck, but later investigation indicated that the driver ended up in front of the vehicle and it began to roll forward and collided with the driver.
The unnamed worker was pronounced dead at the scene.
