A well-regarded teacher Dylan Taylor was struck and killed by a garbage truck along Middlefield Road in Atherton last Wednesday.
Taylor was riding his bike and travelling to work when the crash occurred. The crash came as devastating news to the rest of the community members, who remember him for his exemplary teaching and coaching skills.
Authorities report that there was no impairment nor DUI involved in the crash, the driver of the garbage truck stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
People who knew him gathered at the crash site on Friday to pay their respects and express their grief for the life lost.
