The search is still ongoing for the alleged gunman behind the Paramount shootings that left two women and two children heavily injured and hospitalized in the 7000 block of Somerset Boulevard in the evening over the weekend.
The incident reportedly happened at around 9 p.m. Officers reported to the Skate Village Park after receiving calls about a shooting and discovered four people struck with gunshot wounds. All victims were rushed to the hospital under critical yet survivable condition, while an unknown car was seen driving away from the scene.
The victims remained unidentified, but it is known that they consisted of two women, ages 41 and 22, and two children, a 9-year-old and a 10-year-old. The 22-year-old has fortunately been released from the hospital.
The City of Paramount expressed their thoughts and heartfelt wishes for the victims’ recovery in an Instagram post.
