A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Thursday in the Harbor Gateway neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The collision happened around 2:40 a.m. near S. Figueroa Street and W. 146th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Responding officers found the victim, described as a man in his 50s, dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Investigators said they have no description of the suspect or vehicle involved. A passing driver stopped and attempted CPR before Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived and pronounced the man dead. The investigation is ongoing.
