A 55-year-old female bicyclist was left with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a pickup truck in Santa Rosa Monday morning.
The incident happened at the intersection of Sebastopol Road and Laurel Grove Circle at around 8:10 a.m. First responders arrived to find the biker with severe injuries after a gold Ford pickup truck reportedly hit her.
A witness statement taken from local news outlets says that the bicyclist was travelling through a crosswalk.
The cyclist was rushed to the local trauma center for treatment, while the pickup driver, a 59-year-old, remained on the scene and cooperated with the officers.
Authorities said neither a DUI nor speeding caused the accident.
