Conner Smith, the country singer, is being investigated after he reportedly hit and caused the death of Dorothy Dobbins, a 77-year-old pedestrian in Nashville, Sunday.
The crash happened on June 8, 2025. Smith was reportedly behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when he struck Dobbins as she passed through a crosswalk on the road. It is alleged that Smith failed to yield the right of way to her.
Dobbins was transported to the local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries and died.
Smith is confirmed to show no signs of impairment nor was he under any distraction during the incident. He continues to cooperate with police in the investigation.
